Hi all, I thought I’d share the current status of my Omega collection, which started with a lone Seamaster in 2012, then progressed to adding Speedies in 2016, 2018, 2019, a small hiatus followed and then a flurry of three more Speedies in 2023.

I know I’m very fortunate to own these beautiful watches. Each one has been chosen carefully and complements the others as I wanted variation in the collection. I think the set is now complete. Well, almost. I’d quite like a Tokyo Rising Sun or a Gold Apollo XI 50th anniversary but I’ve already spent more than I should so probably no more purchases for 3-4 years now I think.

Hope you enjoy the pictures.

First, the Seamaster in 2012.

A short break before my first Speedmaster, the Snoopy II in 2016, which I wore for the first time on my wedding day.

Followed by the Apollo Soyuz meteorite dial in 2018. I almost went for this when I bought the above Snoopy. Glad I didn’t as prices went crazy in the 12 months after I bought that one.

A year later came the Apollo 11 50th anniversary.

And then, following a short break in watch collecting, a few more in 2023, the Tintin, in May this year.

In November, the Dark Side of the Moon.

And then just last week, the Snoopy III.

Here’s the collection together.

Thanks for reading 😀

Thank you all for the kind words.

To answer a couple of the questions, I don’t think I could choose a favourite, I really like all of them and most of them get wrist time. I guess from a wear perspective the Seamaster is the go-to watch when gardening or doing other odd-jobs. The two Speedies with most wrist time have probably been the Apollo/Soyuz over the past couple of years but this year the Tintin has seen most wrist time. I really like the Apollo XI 50th as a dress watch as the subtle hint of gold is really nice on a formal occasion. Unfortunately I rarely wear the Snoopy II anymore due to the value of it, which is a shame (first world problems I know).

I don’t actually have any other decent watches other than Omega. I like Submariners and some of the GMT Rolex’s but price wise they are expensive and IMO don’t offer the same value for money as most Omega’s. I also like the Audemars Royal Oak but again they are super expensive. I like that I can wear an Omega and unless someone is a watch-person it flies under the radar a lot more than a Rolex would.

I like the Speedy Tuesdays and also the classic Speedies, but prefer a touch of colour in my watches so think a rising sun would be my natural next step. Must resist for now though as I’m trying to save to overpay the mortgage but keep spending it on watches!!

Super Nice collection! Apart for the lack of speedy Tuesday model instead of 50th anniversary, that could have been my choice for an omega collection! 👍
