Did he wear the Spectre model or the normal one? I think the normal one....
He wore the gmt bezel no 12 omega large logo on screen.

The 300 Spectre is a fantastic looking watch with the brushed center links, lollipop hand and alternate bezel insert. I think it is by far the best of the Omega 007 LE. Sky fall PO is nice too ...

I did not buy either. I regret not buying the Spectre ...
I was thinking of the Spectre when I asked this question because it is a really nice looking watch and I think, the only Bond watch not totally blinged out with 007 logo all over it.

Spectre 300 was cool. Inexpensive (relatively) way to experience an Omega lollipop...
I think it is an amazing looking watch! The only Bond watch I like.

Depends on what you're looking for.

I have the LE from Casino Royale received as my graduation gift from my mother, I'm a huge Bond books and movie fan, and since Goldeneye I wanted a seamaster. I also collect guns so the association between the Seamaster, Bond and the Walther PPK rifling on the dial made this LE the best Seamaster I could hope for.

That is not Walther rifling on the dial. The rifling is from the gun pointed at Bond. For Casino Royale, it's a Heckler & Koch USP Compact. Binder used a .38 (model unknown to me) for the original in Dr. No.

Some Bond and gun fan. (Just kidding)

Vintage (aka OMEGA), not Swatch Omega only, for me. My only Swatch Omegas are these two.

I’m a huge Bond fan. I’ve bought a few Bond watches, not the limited edition though. I just feel all that 007 second hand and stuff is more of a novelty piece.

I owned one of the first Seamaster LE 40th anniversary watches for 5 minutes back in the day (2537.80.00). They made 10,007. Hated everything about it and punted it on with haste and for a nice profit at the time. Awful thing.

Within reason, I'd never get another bond themed Omega. To my eye they are generally pretty terrible.

I do not like fictional branding on any watch. Often I do like the models worn on-screen, but I won't buy something with "007" on it, or any other movie stuff. Just like I won't wear anything with Navy SEALs" on it. Heck, I doubt a Navy SEAL would wear something that identifies him as such. That's just bad tradecraft.

Navy SEALs wear 30 dollar G-shocks!
I was just reading about that. They do have several options but the watch of choice for many special forces is the G-shock. Of course I got that info on Reddit and have no proof to back it up but know I have another source at least

I find myself in meetings with these types of guys now and again in my line of work (albeit the UK equivalents). I'm not seeing them on ops, but they generally attend meetings in fairly casual clothes (I'm guessing in case they get called at short notice). So I assume they probably wear the same sort of thing (watch wise) whilst on ops.

They are almost always either wearing big G-shocks or dive computer type watches. So always quartz, always quite rugged and waterproof to a certain degree. They are generally very big guys, often quite tall and have clearly done a lot of phys throughout their careers.

All as you'd expect really.

Love the films but badges etc on the watch are not for me. I’ll take my classic SMP300 any day over the Bond Version. For me it’s like people getting a Private plate with 007 in or paying to have a specific mobile number ending 007z

A bit cringe worthy as you’re not James Bond.

I feel the same way. I have been eying a Spectre because I love its looks but I just don’t like the Bond logo on a watch. That being said, I just took possession of a new SM 300 master co-axial. Some don’t like the aged lume or polished bracelet but that watch does something for me. I wanted a dive watch without the helium valve. I have a Sea Dweller which I love but the SM just looks more dressy and classy. We will see which one gets more wrist time.

I’m thinking only Sean Connery has the stones to wear that.

Whoever wears it, you get a real sense of their stones.
