So after sifting through these photos it’s very apparent I don’t make enough money to support the habits of other forum members. Holy smokes there are some serious purchases this year for some.
I was just thinking exactly the same!! Having a house extension and a new baby hasn’t helped my watch collecting but I’ve tabled the idea of buying a birth year watch for my son to hand onto him for his 18th..........not sure I’ll get away with it!!

I'm in the same boat.

Something so peaceful about having your itch scratched
Almost there ... I hope next year to list mostly departures.

Some of us fish in very deep waters. Some of us fish near shore and some from the beach. You don’t need to spend a bundle to enjoy this hobby. Set a budget, read up, and fish where you feel comfortable...

A very quiet year

All my time and efforts are dedicated to my crossfit addiction I’m afraid ... watch collection is merely a hobby of mine now on

It's been a good year for me! Met many new collectors and added a bunch to my collection. Also let go a bunch of other pieces not pictured! 😀

Yes, so many watches were produced, it is not that hard to set a budget and find something nice that fits.

What's the bottom piece with two crowns? Looks quite unique!

Current collection.

Really happy to pick up more UGs again.

Looking to add a superb 1675 and I think I'm done for now.

Sold my Angelus and Mk2.

Added these.

Wow, like the Citizen with the tiny second hand, never seen one like that!

Also received my Granddad’s retirement watch as a gift from my Aunty:

Yeah!! Was super interesting and the condition is fantastic.

That "tiny seconds hand" is the seconds hand counterweight - it points in the opposite direction 😁

Well for me 2018 was not a great year for interesting buys, but not bad either. As a 'value collector' I found it even harder to find good quality at a good price. Having said that I suppose it is exactly that challenge that keeps me hooked year after year 😀

Here's the best of the bunch, starting with a few non-Omega's..

And the Omega's..

Many watches in and out this year (some of the outs in this thread). Have seen my collection move from more dress watches to now more sports watches. Landed my grail in a 69 racing Speedmaster in the summer. 3 of my favorite "Ins" below:

Managed to get a couple of my own personal grails that I was happy with this year. Just now waiting to collect on a Rodania that I have been hunting for a while. Hoping for a quieter year. Happy New Year to all on the Forum!
