My colleagues Seamaster 30, I have been pestering him to get it seviced. The crown only set the hands in every position, no winding.

Hi,

The winding crown does not seem to be the right one. Maybe that's the reason why the effective length of the winding stem is not correct, which means "too short". If the positioning of the stem in the gear train does not fit, it is as if the crown is pulled into position "setting hands".

Thanks! That would be a easy fix then, just a logner stem. I was hoping that if the watch started ticking he would give it a proper service and start using it.

My watchmaker usually did not need a new one (longer winding stem). He could lengthen it. Or he didn't screw it so deep into the crown; depending on the length of the tube, you can trick it...

I believe those two watches belong here.

Would definitely love to add 2400 and 30T2rtg to my collection (not mentioning an omega dirty dozen)
Very nice thread that for some reason I only discover now 😗

38mm 2506 cal.283, My last project that started with a case and a dial, I like it very much but there is still a teardrop marker missing at 5 o’clock , perhaps there is someone here who have that on a damaged dial ?

Something new from today. 2506-11 of 1953.
After looking at similar examples I could not find any like mine with a radium on the dial. Is this radium after all? Did the glasses have the Omega logo in 1953 or are they a bit later?
