Some of these are amazing! One day I'll post a pic of the simple little box my Seamaster is in! And I just saw a Speedmaster Professional box on eBay for nearly $1K US!
Kidding on the square, Stuart added a box worth $60-$100 to that sale. I wish he would list it separately!
Super thread, thank you for sharing I have ever try to sell some omega watch with box and paper to dealer The dealer said. It's not like rolex. For omega, box and paper is useless. Can not add up any value. Oh dear. Since then I start to collect omega boxes. It still undervalue in some way.
The one in the middle hasn't been shown yet, with the insert anyway... For late 2913's and 14755's among others. That is early 60'ies.
Adding my one and only box (so far) to the thread. This was my second Constellation; I fell in love with the shape and the integrated bracelet. I don't know if the box and papers actually came with the watch originally.
Here is an old-ass Omega box. Looks like it was for store owners or otherwise not for the customer. http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Tres-Ancienn...837491?hash=item210a20b933:g:DssAAOSwuAVWwLdaPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
It is interesting how pictures can mislead you about size and proportions. After having been excited by those bakelite boxes of the 30's displayed in the thread by members I finally got one. I just unpacked it and it is tiny like a matchbox. At first I thaught I bought a woman's one, so I checked. And, no, this is the real thing. I took my wifes 23,4 naïad Omega to make period correct pics, but it is to big. The only watch that fits is a T 17. Here are some pics.
Yes, right. Let's call it a T 34 then ! Bakelite was invented by a Belgian called Leo Baekeland, so it is a matter of national pride, which we actually never had. I see you finally found those straps you needed. Best. Mounir
