Yep, and look at the responses - half or more are about not taking sides and watch collecting being more than those two brands / watches.

Yup, and over 50 posts discussing the watches in a very civilized manner, without any trolling, name-calling or petty nastiness. Now that's the OmegaForums culture! 👍

The one I recently acquired....I thought and I bought.

I recently got banned for life from an x-lex 🤮 forum for sarcastically posting about coffee preferences....so that's all the information your getting from me. 🤨

Just changed to a more appropriate title.

Sorry to be a smartarse but that's like asking someone with 6 kids who is your favorite 😉

No drama just me being a clown. Just search and you will find alot of threads over the years with the same sort of theme. Most on here have a heap of watches and the pick one, pick two get a bit much.

Last thing i want to do is stop you from creating threads 👍

Actually, on WUS the title of this thread would be something including a zombie apocalypse. 🤨

This thread is bringing down our signal to noise ratio.

Oh, Warren - you forgot to mention the threads about "Most Overrated" and "Most Underrated" brands and all the related threads that have a face off between two brands, as in "TAG versus Omega" and such.
You missed out the " How do you measure your wrist? " thread.

Assuming we're not just horsing around, my favorite has been my Watchco Seamaster 300. Glows like a mother, keeps time pretty well (though it has started speeding up a hair, hm), comfortable on its 1610/840 bracelet...

Oh good gravy, another change.

What's in my "collection"...
1997 caliber 1861 Speedmaster. Was originally the "1957 Replica" but I hated the hands and bezel, so changed. Going to change the hands again to alpha.

2014 caliber 552 Seamaster 300. Watchco with a "new old stock" movement. Love it.

Caliber 6497 in wristwatch case, with parts from Otto Frei. I had an Aerowatch pocket watch that I hated, so I recased it.

Caliber 539 (I think) Elgin Typle A-11 navigation watch. With a 1945 contract date, was likely produced after the war and sold as surplus. Whoever serviced it before was an idiot. After replacing half the parts, it keeps time.

Caliber 218D Bulova Accutron. I forget the model number. I wanted an Accutron, and this one is it. Steel case, black dial, quick-change date.

Circa 1917 Ingersoll Midget. WWI watch. Original strap. Relumed! A pin lever clock somewhat minitairized. I am still flabbergasted that it keeps time.

Circa 1920 Fererro "trench watch". White enamel dial. Modern lume. Shocking how well Wes Grau adjusted it. Easily 5 seconds a day!

Circa 1918 Elgin "Pershing Dial". Still out for restoration, new crystal and lume. Very excited to get it back!

Circa 1886 Waltham 18s pocket watch. Great-grandfather's. Recently serviced by Wes Grau. Don't usually carry it... but I could!

Also assorted Swatch, Citizen, and Russian mechanicals.

That is as close to vintage perfection as it gets!

That bracelet combination really works with that watch... with the added knowledge that the 840 end-piece in profile is the same as the 633 end piece!
