What I paid on my two Omega vintage watches I could of paid a bit more and got a 10 yr old modernish Seamaster. But I like my 1962 Seamaster and 1969 Geneve.

They are just within the Swiss golden age of watch making. Virtually all companies produced in house with Swiss or at least high quality engineered components. Even my red Omega presentaction box from the 1960s was swiss made.

 

'55 18K automatic, always wanted a classy gold watch...... I'm happy as hell with it and if I had to have only one it would do me fine.

Oh, Warren - you forgot to mention the threads about "Most Overrated" and "Most Underrated" brands and all the related threads that have a face off between two brands, as in "TAG versus Omega" and such.

 

Thank goodness we haven't had a "Rolex Vs Omega" thread here yet. Sanity still prevails...
