And then for something completely different!
Bought today. Sellers pictures. Lemania watchmakers time reference clock.
According to information these watches were only available to authorized Lemania dealers, and they were used by the watchmaker, and shop visitors, to set their watches and clocks.
Unsure how much I will do with the massive oak body......
Movement will need a clean and lube so of to see another watchmaker before becoming my official Northernman time ref.

Why do you cover up the individual number? There are no forging of these watches and it probably never will. As you might have seen in this thread:
https://omegaforums.net/threads/for-those-interested-in-swedish-military-watches.34221/#post-385735
there is a list of the known examples.

I would understand covering up a "normal" serial and I have done that myself earlier (not anymore though). These SWAF watches are made in aprox. 400 pieces. I would guess there is no problem...

So sorry. Please accept my humble apologies. While I'm doing stuff for people who ask, shall I leave the office, get the watch, rephoto and repost without the blueback? Or should I just delete the original post?

I thought sharing info was one of the main points of this thread and site. Getting together a list of the individual numbers of this execution 817 ought to be a good thing. Even for you.

It is your watch. Do as you please.

Maybe it's a language thing but your post was on the aggressive side from my pov. I did say I'm happy to share by pm. Instead you post to chastise me for not sharing adequately. A little politeness goes a long way.

I believe you read it as you wanted to read it. I had no bad intentions.
I asked why and explained that we have put up a list for all our benefit and some reasons why there is no risk in showing the individual number in public.

Read the last posts three times and don't know where the aggressive is.

Found a lot of politeness in asking you.

Maybe it's that scary-looking, gun-toting dude in your avatar, @styggpyggeno1 , that appears aggressive to him.

Tell that avatar guy to stop pointing that thang...馃榿

Damn, I come out of a meeting and find I've been tarred and feathered on the OF 馃榾. My own fault I suppose. Where I come from it's common to hide the issue number of a watch to avoid people marking their civi models up and causing a future problem for you. E.g. these certainly exist for the SAAF Lemanias. Sorry but I won't post this on a public forum, but as I said am happy to share by pm. Which I will do with the guy who pm'd me. I have no problem providing this to list keepers.
