Nice! Have you received it yet?
Hi, Yes I did.

Next few days I will post some photos. Nice case and dial condition, but movement needs a service.
Thanks

I was following that sale, so I’m curious to see other pictures of this watch, hence my asking. I am looking forward to seeing your photos.

Hello,
Photos of my most recent acquisition a 18kt gold Lemania.
Also bought a gold plated Lemania Buckle, unfortunately I can't open the case back as it is screw type.
The watch also cames with a Lemania box and guarantee
Need now to buy a new strap, and also service the watch.
Some photos

That is one absolutely gorgeous example! Thanks a lot for sharing.

Like you, I recently bought a Lemania gold-plated buckle, but mine was for this lovely gold-capped ref. 918-3 KO with linen dial from the late 1950s.

Nice one Pascal!

Here is the same case, made at the same time but for different people - the SAAF Lemania we all know, the Heuer Carrera 510-523 and my recent new one, a Lemania World Time.

It's one hell of a trio you got here, Andy! And while all of these watches are pretty rare, the World Timer is undoubtedly the most elusive of the three.

Not a wristwatch, but an opportunity I simply couldn't pass up.

Incidentally, this is my fifth Lemania stopwatch, so I have an increasingly hard time pretending that I'm not collecting these damn things! 😀

Ever since getting back my calibre 3615 from the spa a couple of years ago, I had been on the lookout for a clean calibre 3610 to complement it.

Well, the search is now over. This came in from Sweden yesterday...

We have to see, that originally Omega did not manufacture chronograph movements, they all came from Lemania, a then independant company. So the Omega 1040 (Lemania 1341) and 1045 (Lemania 5100, maybe the most produced Swiss chronograph mvt. for long time) in the automatic chronographs and the handwound 321 and 860.
See att. my Speedmaster Mk III with the Lemania chronograph movement, the only Speedmaster I prefer!

At least Swatch Group took over Lemania Lugrin SA. When these movements got too expensive to produce, Omega used the Eta 2892 non chronograph movement and adapted a chronograph module, you can identify from outside these combinations, as pusher and winding crown are not in line.
With the coaxial escapement, all new developments of chronographs were introduced.
As well those phantastic non chronograph automatic movements for Constellation and Seamaster cal-series 500 over 564 up to 751 were replaced by those from Lemania cal 1001 up to 1021 (picture att.), then more flat and maybe easier to produce....

Here is one in the queue of watches I need to get around to service. Cool with the St Francis dial.

I guess that on that particular year, the St. Francis Perpetual trophy was sponsored by Cadillac, explaining the presence of their 1980's logo on the dial.

These days, Rolex has fully taken over.
