What are the numbers between the Movement serial and case number category? Very cool that you put this together!
Is the difference (sequencial) between movement serial numbers.
It was in order to try to detect how many chronometer movements were made...
Ah gotcha. Neat! Wish there was more info on these. Seems like we have nailed down the production between 1946-47. Thoughts on that ?
Curious as to what this will sell for because I have been offered very little for mine in the area I live because of the case size and gold material instead of steel. The rarity of the movement has been ignored by several “experts” and I was told $500 for the movement plus gold value by a scumbag rolex dealer in the Tampa area 🤣
Seems as though if a blog hasn’t posted anything about how awesome and rare it is you officially own a worthless gold chronograph………. Also was recently told by an “expert” thats its a common movement and if it had a 35mm stainless case it would be worth several times more 🤣

I paid a little under 3k for mine in 2015. Did I overpay, probably, but happy to own it especially with the patina that my dial has. Also curious what this one will sell for.
Based on this numbers tank number suggests - assuming these were produced in 1 batch with consecutive numbers - a production of 212 pieces
See my updated theory above, possibly a false alarm, I think it may just be a fresh crystal. Apologies for any unwarranted concern.
Agreed though, even if it was touched up it is not egregious and the piece is significant enough regardless.
If so, I wonder if all of them still exist scattered around. Kind of doubt it, as I'm sure some were (rather unfortunately) scrapped for the gold cases over time.

$1200, less than what I thought it would end at for sure. Some high feedback score bidders in there.
