Don't look if you find that little red dot irresistible ....... https://leica-camera.com/en-US/Worl...utm_term=https://leica-camera.com/leica-watch
and the price is as ridiculous as you might have expected https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/leica-watch-l1-l2-introducing
"Not limited editions, but production will be constrained to around 400 pieces total for the first year" So, it's a limited edition....
......fashion changed but these were already in the queue...........bell-bottoms in a straight legged world.
I like the look of the watch. If I had a spare 11K laying around that I didn't mind splurging with I'd by the GMT version. But I have other things, at this time, that I plan to spend my war chest on
It has a reasonably unique movement and even with the Leica branding it's probably not terribly over priced in today's market. It's not a mediocre watch rebranded with a high end label and silly price.
I’m not sure it’s what we’d usually describe as a limited edition any more than the steel 321. For me, “limited edition” implies deliberately restricting the supply rather than simply not being able to make any more for technical reasons.
probably another Leitz marketing gimmick to enhance their cameras. I wonder.... why Carl Zeiss never came up with a watch ???
Here is some additional discussion about Lecia's new watch line. Still not a fan about the 14k price tag, you could get some other decent watches for that price. https://omegaforums.net/threads/leica-now-a-watch-brand.142029/
