Yesssssss!!!!!!

Never got into the Star Wars Legos (even though I am a Star Wars fan), but the giant Millenium Falcon always intrigued me. The wallet never could agree, though.
I saw it in person at Legoland. It’s huge indeed. I wouldn’t have anywhere to put the thing.

Spent most of the day lego-ing with my kid. I'm glad he's making his own creations, but slightly bummed that I'll never be able to reassemble a couple cool sets now that the pieces are mixed into a half dozen random bins. So much for my rare Lego nest egg. 🙄

They are vast sources of entropy, no doubt.

But it’s cool when they start building their own.

That is the coolest thing I've ever seen. Also quite humbling to see how insignificant our time on earth can be, relatively speaking.

Finally finished the Porsche today. I got it about 75% done, then it sat for months. Now I need to look up the motor situation for it so maybe we can drive it around. All I have are headlights and a battery pack that’s too big.

We finally hit the phase where my kid is making his own stuff!

I've been catching up on work all day.. so he's watching nerdy videos and built a farm, that is apparently managed by a family of Godzillas.

He was super proud of the goat shed he made.

I bought myself the Death Star and my brother the 10221 at MSRP back in the day, good memories

Super Star Destroyer was a good investment it turns out

They had a Death Star. I don’t remember the price but it was more than the Super Star Destroyer. Probably $2k+. Crazy. The prices for new in box sets are way higher than prebuilt though. They had the newer orange Technic Porsche already built for $380. The set in box last time I was there was over $800.

Just bought the concorde set. It's on backorder unfortunately. But... Gives me more time to concoct a suitable response to the inevitable question from Mrs Mexico: "where the hell is that going to go?".

It's huuuuuuuuge.

Honestly I think Lego scalping days are over, especially since Lego started re-releasing the in-demand sets, those Millenium Falcon asking prices are just sad

After Lego re-released the Death Star I sold mine below the new MSRP and almost half my purchase price, on the bright side the kid who bought it was pretty happy, I quit collecting as it wasn't fun after the re-releases, these days I only buy small sets to display - the 76119 is my favourite 😁 Reminds me of my childhood, Keaton being my favourite Batman

Thought you'd like my old Lego clock.

Hooked it up to a timegrapher, beating at 21600, tuned it to 0sec but with a beat error of 9.9. I'm definitely not clever enough to adjust that!

A bit rusty but still banging away.
The camper was my daughter's work 👍

Edit: better photo of camper with missing A pillar brick. 🤦
