Saw this today at the big “Brick Store” close to me that specializes in older/collectible sets. Pushing 1k for a technic car. Crazy.
Mine cost 550 in 2020.

I saw it in person at Legoland. It’s huge indeed. I wouldn’t have anywhere to put the thing.
It's on my coffee table in a case with lights.

It was a Lego insider freebie! They've been sweetening the deal with lots of fun kits like this lately.

If there are any nautical history nerds on the forum: the Endurance was hands down the most fun Lego build I've done in a long time.

My kid and I watched the most recent National Geographic documentary on the voyage while we worked on it, and it was a good educational experience for him.

Though, we seem to have misplaced a sail. Of all the pieces to lose from a 3000+ piece build!

To the surprise of the crew, my kid has added ninja pirates to an already fraught adventure.

Rumours are of a $1000 Death Star and also a large USS Enterprise to be released later this year…. Better start saving!

Shoot, I'm gonna need to put an extension on the house if they release an Enterprise.

The last few sets we bought are not small and we're running out of display room.

I bought a starry night set and a pagoda set. Plan on doing the pagoda set for mental wellness… but so busy. Haha. And somehow thought doing back to school would be a good idea!

Me too - I suggested to them that they do a whole Sci Fi spaceship set - they have the Millennium Falcon, if they plan to do the Enterprise then why not also Battlestar Galactica, the Nostromo, Firefly, Tardis, Valley Forge, Heart of Gold, ET Mothership etc . Then again I’d be broke and my wife would probably divorce me…

Enterprise will apparently (and sadly) be the Next Generation- but should have cool figures for Picard, Data etc

And now I get loads of advertising for real Land Rover cars... 😶‍🌫️
Stick with the Legos. More reliable.

Cheaper than another new Speedy. These will be must haves for me as well.

Love legos!

My son is hot and cold on them. One day he can spend hours building (something- castles lately) and the next he won't touch them. Sometimes he lets me build too.

I remember wanting (and ultimately getting) the 404 set. With the motor and remote (wired) control... it was awesome.

I for sure had the LL928 galaxy explorer, with the crater plates... and maybe all the "space" kits from the day. I actually had a lot of road and crater plates. Growing up in Enfield (home of the NA Lego warehouse) friends of my mom who worked there would often bring me a mini fig or other tiny kit when they visited.

My son found the Eldorado Castle in the MIL's basement... a lot of those parts are at our house now.
