i know I love the look of vintage Seamaster dress watches - late 50s to early 70s. I’m also looking to soon buy one. But I know there are loads of variants - waffle dials, Cross hair dials, large hippocampus, etc. Could y’all point me to some helpful articles to start to learn what’s what do I can hopefully avoid getting Franken watch?

This is a great one to read, just helps with the basics. What I did was that I researched everything about the watch I was buying, same models that are real (original) and compare how they look. Making sure movements, and movement Serial numbers match the model (so a 1965 SN on a 1950s watch doesn't make sense) but I'm fairly new to the watch game, so there are people who have there own way of doing it! an I look forward to learning
