Not much is known about Laufik 📖 but what I know for sure is that you have the opportunity to acquire this one 😀

The 17 jewel, manual wind AS 1686 movement was fully serviced in 2019 and is keeping great time. The 33.3 (33.5?) stainless steel case (made in France) is in really nice shape and has sharp, confident lugs. The champagne dial is lovely, and playfully catches different light nicely. The applied furniture is pretty cool, too.

Asking $150 USD, strap included, shipping via Canada Post is extra. The strap has seen some use, so if you’d rather pass on it, then shipping is on me. Watch is located in Vancouver, Canada.

Edit: payment by PayPal Friends & Family please, or Etransfer in Canada

Okay, on with the photos!

This is the absolutely worst photo I could take. The patina inside the 8 is only really noticeable under magnification and in the right (wrong?) light. I don’t notice it when wearing it.

But let’s not end on a bad note, a video of the watch is here 👍

Thank you for your time in looking, and thank you to the forum for this space.

Didn’t Andy Warhol wear one of these- and I think it has that import code...this must have been his watch.

OK I know your joking, but it's not as crazy in reality lol...

Laufik Jewelers was based in Eastern Pennsylvania...

Tell me that shop has not been around since the late 60's... (shot from 2013)

Guess where Warhol was born and lived... Just a few hours away in Pittsburg...

That storefront is older than 60’s, so very likely that watch may have come from that very store- very cool, and now we know where the watch is from! As for the Warhol connection.....isn’t is worth the $100k that Dave is entitled just for the mystery!

He also has Picasso’s Benrus- he was going to have the paint on it analyzed to confirm, but the mystery is far more interesting.

@DaveK ,

Does this mean our handshake deal with the paper clip has fallen through? 😕

I wish that all transactions and for sale threads could be this fun LOL.

it honestly adds to a funny story on the watch. The Pennsylvania connection and Andy Warhol non connection work as I got it for FooGirl who took me to Pittsburg to see Falling Water and the Warhol museum just made it a perfect story.
