Meanwhile on instagram
At least this time Omega got the right astronaut in their December 2022 campaign, as this rectangular photo-selection came out of a May 1966 Gemini IX training photo showing Eugene Cernan onboard a KC135 cargo aircraft in May 1966...
(in the past we have seen Gemini XII EVA photos presented as Gemini IV EVA photos)

Fine by me. No offense to all the Apollo mission fans, but I think these Speedy anniversary editions have been over played by Omega.

Oh well. It would've been nice to see a new Speedmaster release before YE but I can see why Omega decided to pass on this one.

People were holding out hope and counting down the remaining 2022 Tuesdays, but Omega's new marketing strategy isn't really conducive to an Apollo 17 50th anniversary watch. Now that all the 50th anniversaries are behind us we aren't likely to see any more of these special edition space themed watches. Snoopy appears to be the last such watch.

I am both sad that there won’t be a 50th anniversary edition celebrating Apollo 17, but my wallet is also very happy as I would have felt compelled to complete the 50th anniversary collection… 😗

Sad. Not sure why people complain about Omega release a LE that they are under zero obligation to buy.

The March 1999 book by Eugene Cernan is a must-read...
Got it, but still need to read it

Great book, while some autographed versions are widely available, some interested OF members might look into the "Omega Speedmaster" version of "The Last Man On The Moon", which has an extra page on the Speedmaster with an autopen (machine-made) autograph of the late USN Captain Eugene Cernan !
