    Hi all,
I'm new here and have always wanted an Omega... mainly to keep and pass down to my son when he's old enough (he's only 11 years old at the moment)
Anyway, I really would love the Snoopy version but it doesn't come up for sale often and when it does, it's around £11,000 which is WAY out of my budget!

I got offered a last Man On The Moon (2016 version I think? The one with the coin face?

Can i ask if any of you know the going rate for this watch and whether this is a good investment to pass down to my son in 20 years' time? Maybe for special occasion wearing as well?

It’s nearly impossible to say what will be valuable in 20 years from now. This LE is one of the less popular ones today but so was the Daytona Newman in its time... I reckon you can find them NOS in the range of $4,5k to $5,5k. You could as well search for a 2007 watch, regular or LE, to pass on to your son imho.

To piggyback on @WatchWalker Wasnt the 50th anniversary Speedmaster in 2007? That would be a killer one to pass on and it’d be a birthyear watch.

Thanks. I'm being offered £5.5k so don't know if that's too much or not...

I noticed there's a Speedy Tuesday Ultra Man as well but it's all sold out. Shame as I would love to have that as I remember Ultra Man when I was a kid!

When you say 2007, which model are you referring to? Or are you just talking about looking for a 2007 watch, any model?

That would be awesome... but I'd hate to imagine how much this version will cost?

I’d imagine mid $3k and up. Depending where you look. I’ve seen them on Chrono24 and they are typically higher than private sales so I’d say they are in your range. Just some food for thought.

I'll be a bit more blunt in my thoughts about the coin dial - it takes everything interesting and iconic about the speedmaster and throws it out the window. I personally think it's the least desirable speedmaster ever made.

The one you linked above has a co-axial movement that has had the automatic winding piece removed. It is frankly a bizarre piece that removes the iconic 1861 movement and replaces it with a movement that otherwise has never been used in a Speedmaster, stuffs it in a big box with a bunch of tools, and was basically a way for Omega to charge more money for it.

The second one does come with the proper box for it, and is an "actual" Speedmaster, with some additional 50th anniversary stuff on the dial.

Additionally anything on Chrono24 is going to be on the very high end of the market price wise.
