Dear Longines Experts,

I came through this Lady Officer tre tacche on the Bay.

I thought it could be a nice gift for my Goddaughter, who introduced some time ago to vintage watches. She already has a lady Sei Tacche which she likes a lot.

Maybe she will also enjoy another one :)

Nonetheless, I have some doubts on it, and I would appreciate your feedbacks on the originality of the dial/watch.

My assessment:
- Dirty watch, will need a good cleansing! but of course that can be arranged :)
- Case: it has seen some life, surely polished a bit, yet decent.
- Dial: Even patina, no major "stain" that I can spot. Now, personally, I do not feel confident on the Longines text itself. I'm not confident on the font as such... It looks too "sloppy" (thick font...) surely comparing it to her Sei Tacche dial. Additionally, it seems too high positioned on the dial. Now, due to the size of the dial, and the model itself, I might be wrong.

Hence, creating this thread to ask you for your thoughts :)

In advance, thank you for your time!

Oh, and yeah, I inherited it from my great great aunt, and I don't want to sell it but would like know how much it is worth!

Crappy pictures from the seller:

I'm trying to estimate based on the measurement in the photo, but this looks like a watch that is approx. 1 1/8" in diameter and 1 3/8" from lug to lug. In metric, that translates to 28mm diameter (maybe slightly less, like 26mm?) and 35mm lug to lug.

Believe it or not, this was likely a man's watch during WWII. I think my Weems is about the same size, more or less.

I agree that dial is likely not original and hands have been re-lumed. All depends on the price. I know that these tre-tacchies bring strong money for what they are, but I would not pay a premium for this one.

Thank you Gents for your feedback, it confirms my dial thoughts.

The asking price is 250€ which I find too high for a refinished dial...
