Is it weird if I kinda miss the Donald Duck court jester guy from this winter? Whatever his name was? He was pure entertainment.

Yea, not permitting signatures was one of our rules from the start, nobody cares about your watchbox, favourite quotes or bible passages enough to want to read them after every post...

One of the worst forum features ever. We still get the occasional complaint about it but its never going to change, nothing should interrupt or get in the way of actual content.

To spite the moderators and become extremely popular one can always add a signature...

...................................................................................My signature move is to move the signature over to the right

Members are polite and knowledgeable here on OF, can't say the same for TZ where you need a fire-suit for comments that differ beyond "congrats" and "well done" + the spelling is better over here. 馃槈

I was pretty active in watchuseek when I started into the world of watches, but ever since I discovered this forum, I have completely changed my preferences in forum and in watches!

Really fantastic people and a great helpful community.

This is absolutely my favorite forum, although I still hit The Rolex Forum for Rolex and Patek Philippe, and WatcUTalkinBoutWillis, er, WatchUSeek for Hamilton. Lately I've shifted from Omega Vintage to General-Open Discussion for a bit of variety and to get away from the Speedy/Connie worship. Occasionally I wish there was some interest in watches that paralleled my interests, but some of what I like doesn't tickle everyone. So overall, I would call this forum "home."
Thanks to the mods and members for making it so. You, too, Dennis @ulackfocus.

I definitely worship connies and speedies but I always really enjoy your contributions. I wish I could reciprocate, but while I find your watches fascinating, I've got limited budget and too many other watches at higher priorities. There are many like you (@SpikiSpikester, @LouS and @adam78 leap to mind) with more varied interests who make the forum what it is....

I really like this forum for both the very high knowledge of its contributors and the friendly spirit here. The only other watch forum in which I'm a really active member is a French one that I joined years ago for the same reason but the spirit is somehow no more there.
And not so many forums have a real interest in pre 1940 Omega....

Knowledge? Yeah, maybe. Nice? NO F馃がKING WAY! I'm an a馃がole.

You are not the only Den(n)is to claim that title:

Yet, somehow you managed to rope me into a moderator's role a couple of years ago. How the hell did that happen? 馃檮

I'm here because I can be my sarcastic self without worrying about being slapped on the wrist, 馃が, or banned.

Nice job to the founders, Trev and Ash!

Anyone who says a Patek 5980 isn't in their interests simply isn't an interesting person imo 馃榾

For me it feels like the majority of the members feel like they have a responsibility to nurture and protect the forum as if it were their own. I also feel like I know the people here because if you hang around enough during the course of the posts a lot of information is shared about things other than watches which creates an environment of friendship, caring and kinship which I have not seen anywhere else.

This is often demonstrated by the numerous random acts of kindness and caring frequently seen between fellow members.
