It's like saying, you have three children, get rid of two of them, and I don't care how you do it.

I have three teenagers, believe me... I'm trying 馃榿

I was working on the assumption that our offspring are not all devil spawns... you love 'em, and you know it. I just hope they're not all girls.

Two young ladies and one lad... yeah, gotta love 'em but it's interesting at times 馃槜 馃が 馃う

On the topic at hand... I've only been into my watches since this time last year so I'm still slowly on the increase rather than considering thinning out the herd.

If a financial necessity, they may well all go.

If/when the time comes and I decide to thin the herd, I'd be passing them over to the lad and the last to go currently would be my first, a Breitling Transocean Day Date which SWMBO purchased for our 20th anniversary.

The FOIS is sooooo versatile but... don鈥檛 kill me... I think the Seiko Marine Master is the winner... I have a 6.75 inch wrist so whether the watch be big or small, they all fit pretty well. (Seiko MM300, UG Polorouter, IWC, Speedmaster, Seamaster Sparkle, 300M 36mm, Seiko Arnie). Thoughts?
Cool strap on the Seamaster Professional.

The SMP 300 is versatile and no fuss. It鈥檚 a nice diameter at 41mm but relatively low profile. I love the micro wave dial when it hits the light.

Actually I have the midsize 36mm SMP 300. I thought the size might be too small when I purchased it but in the end I actually prefer the dial proportions as opposed to the 41mm. and thankfully my wrist size worked fine 馃榾

You have no idea what I put into those children. Watches are trivial. All of 'em, if I had to.

All of 'em... the watches or the children?
Anyways, I was jokingly making a metaphor... a watch is not on par with a child... obviously. "Leave the watches, take the children" (apologizes to the Godfather... leave the gun, take the cannoli.)

If you could only have one watch, what Speedmaster would it be?

that polerouter is really nice man. I wouldn't be able to sell any watch from that collection man.

Paring the collection down to one watch without taking the obvious next step of ridding yourself of this hobby once and for all? Madness. Might as well hit the snooze button on a time bomb.

Easy. I'd gift all except one to the kids in the knowledge they won't wear any of them. Then I "borrow" them back for care & maintenance purposes. This approach avoids the need to make any tough decisions.

I think it speaks for itself

For me that would be the first to go.*

*Sorry that's not true but I couldn't resist 馃榿

YG DD with lapis dial. Not yet in my collection. But that鈥檚 my plan when I turn 60. Bequeath all my watches to my two boys. And just leave me a one-watch man.
