1942 pilots watch may have seen action.
The historical significance is interesting.

While I am not fond of gold brass I would lean to the watch on left. As nice as they are, I do not find the constellations suit me, especially with the heavy metal band.

Left as it is honest, the endlinks on the right triggered me more

Definitely right for me. Two reasons:
1 I’d wear the Constellation - switching out the bracelet for black leather;
2 A watch that was worn in a theatre of war - no thanks, not for me!

Yes, the historical side is very cool! This specific watch (as noted in my extract of the archives) was sent to the United Kingdom August 10th of 1942 and of course was produced by special order of the British government. This watch has the H.S^8 markings on the caseback with the issue number 3072. Thanks for contributing

Both, I'd wear the Constellation more but being a history buff it would be hard to pass up owning the other.

the possibility of that watch seeing action makes it very attractive to me!

They make a fine matching pair aesthetically and technically. Nice field watch/pilots watch for the day and a dress watch for the office or evening. Having said that I think maybe secret agent Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughan) wore a connie in the Uncle show so that would cover all the bases maybe. I would still go for the pilots watch but the pie pan is a super and iconic watch as well, so a hard but interesting choice to force on us.

They are both such special watches and do two distinctly different things very well IMO

Thanks for your thoughts - I agree on all fronts! If I had to choose I think the pilots watch edges out the Connie for me personally but man, do I love them both. Thanks

Left If really restricted to choose one as I would prefer to add a watch of that era to my collection, but would buy bought than cry out loud at home what the hell I did 😁

Both are beauties. I would probably wear the constellation, but that pilot's watch is just such a great historical artifact. A very nice collection indeed.
