No, I'm not talking about a person, that would be super weird btw. Some time ago, Rolex Daytona in Yellow gold with Green dial, also known as a "John Mayer" came at my desk so I figured, what a great opportunity to make some watch shots.

Unlike it's rose gold variant, this type of gold if very vibrant and 'in your face' (which is the whole point of a Gold Rolex I guess) but it can be easily paired up with casual or dressy clothes. Anyway, here are some shots of the watch, enjoy.

Pics are outstanding, is the chronograph hand just poor QC?

Good spot that. Guy at work had a date just new 41mm version and was looking at the Crown on the dial via a loupe and didn’t like the sloppy (not crisp) finish and so sent it to West Malling where they inspected it and said it was well within there tolerances and returned him the watch. Normal eye you would miss it but when you know it’s there you can see it with no loupe, under Loupe awful blobs around it on all stems.

I’m not a fan of this watch in gold. That said, the dial makes this work.

In 2007 I bought a white gold Daytona with meteorite dial, a really nice watch to strap on. A gold watch just feels different than stainless steel, the weight, the warmth of the metal on your wrist. Alas I sold it to fund something else, one of those watches I regret selling.

Good eye. The watch is brand new, but these king of blemishes are normal for machine-stamped hands. And the angle of the shot highlighted that as well.

Great book.
Agreed, the book is fantastic for learning Rolex history

We need a BRABUS-tuning for the Daytonas 😁
