Hello gentlemen. I thought you may be interested in looking at a few photos of my original DSA.
It's nice to see the real thing from time to time

@Johnnie your watch is gorgeous. Are those hands original? I notice they are different than the needle style that the tributes use and that is seen on other originals, like the one the guy found at goodwill for $6.

@Johnnie It looks fantastic and thanks a lot for sharing. I was wondering about the hands too, and they threw me for a loop, but these are different as well.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, since you've had it, how many times has it been serviced?

Lol.......NEVER! I never have had either the DSA or my Speed master serviced, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Also I don't really know of a good watchmaker that I trust anymore. Nowadays many watch dealers did their apprenticeship in the second hand car business!

PS, When I say it's not been serviced, I should also add its rarely worn. Most of the time I use my Speed master. But I must say I love your dsa tribute,, its a cracker!

Johnnie, that's great and very impressive. So how is it keeping time since it's never been serviced? And thanks a lot; I've really enjoyed wearing it so far.

She keeps time very well indeed. It's me that's always late lol. The movement is superb, truly. By all accounts the old DSA has twice the amount parts that the new version has!!!!!

I found the pictures online, so they're not mine. I was just looking for DSA's with different hands as opposed to the common syringe ones.

I dont know which hands are right or wrong,, One day someone younger with more enthusiasm and energy will no doubt do whatever they think is correct,, to me it's fine and works perfectly including the alarm. I love watches I also love old fishing reels, they too can be quite beautiful. I have sold most of them now as when you get older your interests change or you become interested in other things, something that gives you "the bug" and that in turn gives you renewed energy and enthusiasm. Times change and we must change with them or dry up and die.

Hi Livesimply, Well if you do visit England do pop in for a proper cup of tea! Tea is a wonderful thing, no matter what happens, whatever the disaster, after a cup of Assam tea everything looks so much better! The queen drinks Earl Grey tea, thus proving her majesty knows nothing about tea lol.
