Jaquet (not Droz!) - Excelsior Park EP4 Chrono

Hi all - has anyone come across the Jaquet brand on their watch adventures?

I have been after an Excelsior Park chrono for a while and nabbed this slightly neglected beauty for a fraction of the typical Gallet/Zenith/Certina/Sinn and even Excelsior branded editions.



It looks almost exactly like a variant of the Zenith 143, down to the hands, markers etc.



My watchmakers says its all complete and, surprisingly, will clean up well. Then its time to see with a new crystal and a clean what the dial actually looks like!

I like it. I know I've run across that name before in our watch hunting but don't think ever owned one yet. Looks like it's solid stainless which is a big plus and good that your watch maker doesn't spot any major issues and gives it the thumbs up for just a regular service. 👍

Jaquet is one of the brands known to have used the EP4 movement. I used to search Jaquet on eBay when looking for EP parts, and ended up with this a couple of years ago... haven’t had the heart to use it for parts.

Oh a Decimal dial with the 'hooked seven'! Lovely, thanks for sharing that. There are some EP dials available but prices seems steep at the moment...
