··Hoarder Of Speed et aliaThis just arrived to add to my growing Seamaster collection which is highlighted by @Barking mad 's ex 2913-3.
New member is a Seamaster 165.024 HF, 24 jewel, caliber 552. I believe this would be a 2nd generation diving Seamaster (rotating bezel). Here's what I think (I hope) I know about this watch.
Ref,165.024 HF case (unpolished), serial 2471xxxx, 24 jewel (USA watches had 17 jewels to save import duty)
Original dial, pre big triangle (no stubbies), T SWISSS MADE T, Open serifs at the 6 and 9.
Original Sword hour, Candlestick minute and dagger second hand. Hand Patina (hour and second at least) appears to match the dial. Not relumed.
Original bezel which appears slightly convex at the surface.
I believe the naiad crown is correct but perhaps not original.
No emblem in the crystal.
Bracelet is an early 1171/633 with the trapezoid surrounding the Omega emblem. Plenty of links! This was probably an early replacement bracelet.
Not the most pristine example but it wasn't costly. Seamonster is worn but visable.
Corrections, Opinions and comments are most welcome.
