Got this today from a local... Cheap so I know it wasn't going to be working. But I was curious.

At first, I thought it was a Symphony... It's an Eversharp. But not sure really.

Now, the "pump-filling" is toasted after many years/decade in a drawer. I've been trying without success to identify it.

Anybody knows what it is, and such sac can be found? The pen has a Eversharp Perma-stick? Maybe I can find a replacement too

Interesting!
Never saw a Pensacola like this.
You could try asking some pen sac suppliers like pen sac company for advise.
Best

I went through a pen phase - still got the one I chose and still have a wishlist! One day I'd like to collect more, trouble is, my handwriting is so poor it seems wasted on fine pens.

My suggestion would be that you start again and I’d recommend a gold nibbed Parker 51 😀

I do like the look of the 51! How heavy is it? Is it light and plasticy, or heavy and.... Bakelitey? 😀

Got one coming next week, my first one. Probably one you missed or didn't want to buy because it was crap 😀

Let's see a photo 😀 😀 😀

I rotated them but after I retired had less use for them and gave sets to my nephews.

Now I only have four sets (pen, ballpoint, pencil) of Parker 61s and two sets of Parker 51s.

Black, burgundy and Rage Red

Mind you, I do sometimes look out for a Teal set … 😀

NPA

Osmia 884 with a BBL gold nib.
Flex heaven, but in a daily usable way.

Well, they arrived and are as nice as posted. The first lustraloy capped Parkers I’ve had since the late 60s.
That one was stolen when I left it for 15 minutes on my table in court (I was a trainee solicitor) and couldn’t believe my naivety, leaving my pen unattended in the Old Bailey. I mean, who could have imagined that there might be someone dishonest there! 😲

These are actually darker shades than my photo - more like the seller’s, above.

Really nice colour indeed!

Don’t laugh 😟

But you know how it works …. you buy a pen and pencil and then decide that you want a matching ballpoint pen to complete the set …

Anyone got one of these Sailor "Jellyfish" pens? I like the colour but.. I'm wondering if they will be too light and plasticy for a high price?

First tip. You’ve really got to try it before you buy it. Nothing worse than a pen you don’t feel comfortable with.
Second, and it’s a personal preference, buy a pen that can refill from a bottle rather than using cartridges.
Third, if you’re buying, get the set. Pen, ballpoint and propelling pencil.

Hi - yes I suppose trying is a good idea - I dodn't even know which nib size I will actually like the best - I would assume thin but I could be wrong! And then a choice of gold or steel... presumably the nibs can all be swapped around on these higher end pens? (also not sure if these come as a set, I've only seen them sold individually)

Well, I understand your point on "full sets" though I'm not interested on ballpoint nor pencil... Not a priority for me, nor would I pay more for it if I just want the fountain pen. But I see your point, this is just me.

Nib sizes can be different depending the provenance of the pens... Japan vs Western etc But as Mr. Parker ( @Spruce ) advised, the best is to test the pen unless you are familiar with the brand, and keeping in mind the purpose of it (work or personal) and your support (field note, letters etc). I'm not familiar with Sailor fountain pens, so I couldn't say if you can swap nibs, but even so, go for the one you'll use more, and swap whenever you want to experience something different

As per cartridge or not, it is a personal preference, but cartridges have their advantages... If you travel a lot, easier to take ink with you for example.

Personally, I blame @LesXL for setting this hair running!

I really didn’t need another set of Parkers, even a nice teal set with lustraloy caps - but then, I probably don’t need 99% of the watches I own, and that didn’t stop me …. 🙄
