New to the forum. Just picked up a Speedmaster yesterday. I haven’t opened the case yet but what do you all think?
Where did you find it?

Serial is 60,###,### so i believe its 99. Maybe a few snuck in idk haha

Hi there, this is my first post here, but just wanted to say I also have a 1999 Seamaster 2531.80 with tritium dial - serial 602xxxxx - I'm not sure how these (1997?) dials made it onto 1999 watches, but it appears they did - Parkers (uk) even have a circa 2000 for sale with a tritium dial. Mine was originally sold in the far East - perhaps location has something to do with it?

Cheers

Is this a sign of a fake? I recently purchased a seamaster 300 MC from chrono, new with valid warranty and box. Watch looks brand new as far as I can tell, and keeps good time (+3secs a day).

But I noticed the back of the case where the “anti-magnetic” engraving was slightly off. All other aspects of the watch seem authentic (serial numbers all match up on lug, movement and warranty card, and I went through the post on how to spot a fake on this thread).

Aesthetically this doesn’t bother me, but should I be concerned about the watch’s authenticity? Have you guys experienced flaws like this?

The balance wheel and adjuster look authentic.

Today is my lucky day.

Quantum of Solace seamaster—I found the first one issued! 0001/5007! It comes complete with prototype dial.

looks like it has been through a rough time with Bond!

Movement looks genuine, case back is something what has puzzled me.
Looks like a five in "15'000 gauss" is bit fat and sloppy too, isn't it?

Omega 323.30.40.40.06.001

I think this is a genuine clock. Shoul I have any doubts? Only I think maybe the bracelet is not original because the engravement on the clasp feels so sharp, can it be sharp if it is new? Also the hinge on the clasp is not 100% tight meaning it ”hangs” a bit. Suggestions?

Did you ever get a response on this? I've purchased one very similar and was curious as to your results. Did you get it authenticated by an AD? Does anyone here have a good speculation?

Here is the original post (with pics) for those that maybe can help.

It almost looks like the engraving was originally not filled with paint, and the previous owner filled it in.

I have done this on certain metal parts of other items made of metal that are finished to high tolerances due to the stresses they undergo, all it requires is enamel paint and some acetone to wipe off the excess.

That being said, after having seen this, I am extremely careful of watches that look even 1% "slightly off"....

When I compare it to this photo, I do start to have some doubts in regard to the cleanliness of the lettering in the watch above:

I can see what you mean, but no idea what to advise you. If watch is still under the warranty - try Omega, perhaps they can replace the case back.

Looking at the OP's picture closely, it also seems that the 2 t-shaped prongs holding the jewel on the adjuster (sorry if i'm describing this poorly) are not aligned well. Could be another indication of something wonky.

First Omega Purchase. Did I do good?

Watch cam with box, manual, warranty card, and pictogram. All look legit, although I wasn't sure if the warranty stamp is supposed to be a scotch tape like sticker with the AD name printed on it. Or is the tape there to protect it?

I don't really have any reason to believe this is fake. Otay first major watch purchase, and I guess I'm looking for some validation .

Looks legit, and very nice btw, the warranty cards are as you described. I think it's so it can be written on easily.

Redial?
Hello Community, am looking for some advice please. Could I please get some knowledgeable people to help out a rookie.
I bought this on ebay recently and hAve had such a busy week, that I only put it on a larger screen at home today.
The s' of 'Swiss Made' look less than uniform to me. the A in OMEGA, has not got the pointed top. also, the accent ,as in, è is only a half size and the incorrect angle comapered to my other. if anyone familiar with these watches could please educate me , I sure would be grateful. I may have bought a pig and it may not be interesting to many on here, but it's all I can afford right now, and although it will be pretty disheartening, it will be an education for me to find some facts about what I have bought.
It was sold as an original dial, but I believe it is a redial, can anybody please confirm so I can try to return it to the seller.
I am a novice to the world of Omega and and a relative novice to Ebay purchasing too.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Dear all, I might add, the watch is not in my possession at the moment, it should be arriving on Monday.
I have also just noticed this on the dial, a small protrusion at 46/47 minute(am I the only soon to be owner of a dial with a black nipple, what the hell)!!! ???
Can anyone shed some light on the subject please, I have never seen anything like this before !??
Again, sincere thank you for any help in busting this wide open as a fake or as a genuine .

31 tabs on your app, you mad man

Where did you find it?

I purchased it at an independent jeweler out of state. Came with box and papers but no warranty card.
