Hi, I am new here and looking for a Constellation day date. I've done a lot of research and find I really like them from the late 60s/early 70s.

I have found 2 online and am first unsure if they are fake and secondly unsure if they have had redials or are made up of fake parts.

Any help would be great.

Also if either are available at more reasonable prices on the forums please let me know!

This guy just doesn’t give up from trying to scam others

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/123258257053

He’s got the Spectre numbered 0000/7007! Lol

Just looked at that watch and quite amazed how good it looks especially the movement,
I don’t understand why he uses to different watch images though as watch on image 1 & 3 have different dials etc.
Would fool many people looking quickly at it, no idea why they always state 0000 or 0001 model as dead giveaway....

Hi guys

Please can you advise me if my Omega Seamaster 2541 quartz is real....

I’m worried about the following things on it...

- no serial number on the lug, it only has a star on it made up of 5 lines ( Iv read on line this could be a quality control marker)

- the date is gold not white
- the helium valve dosent have the logo on.

Please find attached some pics

Many thanks in advanced 😀

I mean, I'm not expert, but that looks like other quartz Seamasters of that series I've seen. It's my understanding that the logo isn't on the helium valve of every one ever made. Also, models that pre-date a certain period do not have the lug serial. Be worth doing a little research to find out more.

Yeah I asked him if he had the hands changed or if he bought it with those hands already on.... the reply he gave me "if you like it buy it, if not blah, blah blah" which again only raised my concern of it being fake. Or maybe the seller is just a d**k?
Always be able to walk away from a deal...I think Donald Trump wrote that.

These are a dime a dozen...in original unaltered condition. #Walkaway.

I mean, it has obviously been absolutely trashed which suggests it ain’t real. But there’s always something in the back of my mind that says, “What if?”

Thoughts?
Did this one skid across the highway on its bezel?

It's listed for 2600 cad so more like 2k USD. Still over priced, but the luxury watches get slapped with duties and taxes like mad up here...
Its a quartz to boot...no more than $900 USD...which I would never pay...but thats what the masses are willing to pay

My 2 cents

About the Chrono, I have two possible explanations: 1) it’s a “Franken”; 2)it’s a kind of magic like this: mister x, who professionally sells fake replicas, so he posts on YT a video from mister y saying “I received this fake omega from mister x and it’s perfectly identical to the real thing” but he’s actually showing “the real watch, not a replica”

About the Spanish one (non-Chrono) you can tell it’s a fake from the bridge at “8” in the fake; originals have it at “12,30”
Exactly...i have found that happening...where the scammers use a real item as the fake, to try to legitimize the actual fake as being what real watch looks like...bad spelling and all!

Here's an admission of I think I'm selling the not real deal......

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152958512138?ul_noapp=true
At least he doesnt misrepresent it. I have scanned the replica watch sites forums...their opinion is ...they either cant afford or dont think the real deal watches are practical...though they like the styling and they dont want to have to take care of it in any way...its like ...they want an expensive walmart quality watch. And maybe how they use the watch warrants and creates that market...but they could just buy an Invicta with an ETA mvmt (decent cheap watch)..so they are still broken in their logic and buy the illegal replica vice the legitmate homage.

Hey DonFreem, looking at the movement and the bracelet, I'm inclined to call that bad boy a fake. Run for the hills. No Fakemasters today.
