The watch looks really nice but I am really hesitant about the purchase of this watch.
That is a legitimate watch 馃憤

Hello All,
Thanks for adding and all the wealth of info from all you members. I鈥檝e been out of collecting watches for going on 7-10 years now and decided wanted to break back into try addiction with an omega planet ocean. I have been offered this one locally, being my total lack of knowledge figured I鈥檇 do my due diligence by asking you fine folks.

Is this thing real, lol??

Just got this watch and figured since it was in a trade with no papers I would have you pros look at it. Did have a local watch shop look but wouldn鈥檛 mind you guys weighing in. Appreciate it in advance!

I鈥檝e just purchased this Omega Railmaster from Chrono24 from a reputable seller abroad, As this is my first Omega watch I was hoping to get some clarification on its authenticity, When I鈥檝e purchased Rolex鈥檚 before I鈥檝e always followed the trusty advice of buying the seller rather then the watch and everything seems to check out, But I鈥檇 rather a second opinion of someone who knows what they鈥檙e talking about on if it鈥檚 a legit piece, Serials seem to match up, and to my untrained eye looks like a legit piece. Thankfully with Chrono24 I have the 14 day return policy so no issue in regards to getting money back if worst case scenario
Looks correct to me, I think you鈥檙e all good

That's fake. Little balance adjuster thing is missing and the serial number 89236388 also comes out to a fake if you Google it.

My missus has told me she'll get me an Omega Aqua Terra quartz for my upcoming 65th birthday which will match her 30mm version.
Most I've seen are around 拢1800/拢1900 with box and papers.
This one is a lot cheaper but all the pics are the same and there isn't any paperwork or a box with it.

Probably fake. 11 out of 11 photos are of the dial, implying the caseback is probably way off and the seller is trying to hide it. Also, a big red flag is that the genuine movement uses a black date wheel, not white.

This looks like a real watch; however, these are stolen images- they are screenshots taken from somewhere else. There are 11 images on the eBay listing but each image has its own number, which counts to 10. A few of the images have a random white border of varying thickness that runs along the top edge of the image, which tells me it鈥檚 a screenshot and the person didn鈥檛 enough attention when cropping it. This is a hard pass from me.

Thanks both, yes I'll definitely give this one a swerve.
I hadn't noticed the contrasting numbers or the date window being wrong.
I'll keep looking 馃憤 ta !!

PS The 2 that were on there yesterday at around 拢1800 with full set and proper date window colour, have now gone馃檨

Benrus and a Lord Elgin driver style. Everything else looks like Timex / 1 jewel stuff.

edit:

Hard pass.
GP Gyromatic movement + misc Bulova manual winds.

Hi all I鈥檓 looking for some advice. I鈥檝e just won this OMEGA Seamaster 300 Blue Men's Watch - 2551.80.00.

I鈥檝e tried to do as much research as possible but just can鈥檛 tell if this is real or fake. One of the alarm bells is that there is no reference number at the end of the strap but only at the clasp. The current owner has told me the reference for this is 54361106 and the reference on strap clasp is 1502/824.

I鈥檝e never spent this type of money on a watch so I鈥檓 very nervous. Any advice would be hugely appreciated!

Hello friends,

Just received this DSOTM and thought I would ask for some expert advice. Came with original box and papers and I cannot see any issues or differences from ones I have seen at AD.
