Any comments on whether this watch is legit? Not sure if there's something wrong with this 123.20.38.22.02.001 - perhaps a defect I'm not seeing or telltale signs of being fake. I was thinking bad polishing or just plain fake.

Hello,
Post number one for me here. Ive been a fan of both the Seamaster and Speedmaster for years, but I’ve kept my first “speedy” very mint. I’m looking for a lower investment watch, vintage, most likely, that I can wear daily. Unfortunately, my daily watches can take a beating, so I’ve kept to less expensive brands.

I came across this listing and was concerned by the price.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-GX62...p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0

I’d appreciate any feedback. I’m trying to say in under $750 - $800 USD.

Thanks for keeping these forums informative and great reading.

Any thoughts on these cards? The warranty card looks weird, I was told it is directly from OB so I would have expected it to be properly filled then.

The text in the stamp is ”The Swatchgroup (China) Ltd.”

Hello

I am offered this one.. seller says it is 44mm (which I believe such size doesn’t exist) … besides the basic question of is it real or fake, I want to know the years this model was in and expected size considering the orange numerals.. can it be a 43.5 with orange numerals without quarter orange bezel?

Just got verification from Omega Bienne that this is perfectly fine and the warranty is valid. 😀

the reference exists in 42 & 45,5 mm. A look on the open caseback is the fastest way to spot a fake. Look at the regulation construction at the balance wheel

I am newbie and this is my first post. Here a pictures to know if this watch is real or fake. Take note caseback hole in the first picture. I think 2221.80 do not have this hole in front of Omega sign…Thank you!

It is for sale on Catawiki…
Run the opposite direction.

This is a real one. Loads of differences to spot. One being, you don’t even need a straight on dial shot to see the HE valve is in the wrong location on the fake and has a notch in the case to fit it. Those angled shots are likely for deception/illusion.

Fake showing the notched case.

Noob here. Is the dial somewhat glossy? I thought this version is a flat finish dial. Or is it just and optical illusion of the crystal?

It’s a flat finish, was just the pictures.
