Why the new Speedmaster is more expensive in Germany and France (7000€) as compared to other countries Switzerland(7150chf/ 6600€) or United States (7150$/5830€) ??

Because of the difference in VAT.

Great release. Does someone knows if the 3861 bracelet will fit 1861 Speedmasters? That would be awesome 😎👍

I saw a great side by side video today comparing the old and the new.
From what I could see was the endlinks are very different in depth.
I don't think the bracelets will fit in a manner that we would generally find acceptable with a gap between the Endlink and Midcase.

Not trying to do a massive photo dump, but some guys earlier were asking about the box! Pictures don’t do this watch justice— it is a very beautiful update.

It won't without modification. These end links are like those on the Apollo 11 50th Anniversary bracelet, which have slight nubs on the interior side.

I think I’m leaning more to the hesalite version as well. Love the all brushed bracelet and the look of the glass.

I actually prefer the new box with the travel pouch but a couple accessories like the loupe and nato would have made it perfect. It’s strange how they gave the Snoopy 3 the loupe in the cushion but not the new Speedy’s.

Maybe (apart from cost) a very practical thought prevented including the loupe:

Given that the loupe requires a quite sturdy cushion to ensure it stays put in the middle, the cushion is not flexible enough to adjust for different bracelet sizes. This is not an issue on a watch with a pin-buckle strap such as the Snoopy, as you can just fix it as large as needed in the travel box, but with a bracelet it would not hold anymore as you could not close the clasp, except you have VERY large wrists.

Thought folks would appreciate seeing a 145.022 dial v the new Speedy and a 3570.50. The subdials are very similar to the 145.022.

Can anyone comment on the black of the dial?

To me, it always seemed that the current (well, last generation now) Professional is slightly off-black, more like a dark antrazite. While the 60's models had a more true black, and very slightly shiny black dial.

Yes it is not exactly black, it is more of a grey-ish black

The new box is very elegant and i love the travel box idea! However I am still a fun of the previous box especially given the extra goodies it includes😁

The new dial looks blacker under some lighting conditions. It has a bit more of a sheen to it than the 1861 dial, so it's easier for the 1861 dial to look more matte and greyish, whereas the 3861 dial returns light differently. The 3861 definitely does not look semigloss or shiny, but is more shiny than the 1861 dial.

Thanks; it really is sweet! I bought it at that Sotheby's Speedy Auction in 2019 (meaning overpaid, that is) so I don't think I'll be able to let it go for what it's worth until the Sotheby's Speedy Auction in 2029. 😜

Lucky day. Just grabbed the 3861 Sapphire Sandwich from the OB. It’s awesome.

Congrats on a new watch! Does that new one wears better than 1861? And does that lume on 3861 look a bit yellow like in Omega commercial or it's just all white?

Am I the only one to be bothered by the non-painted centre of the sub-dials hands ?
Why did not Omega paint them in white as for all the other models ? I think it would greatly improve the aesthetic...

Both wear about the same to me. But that’s just me. I also think the lume looks about the same, too.
