Having seen the pdf (thanks Chunky), this is the real deal (or a very elaborate hoax). Not at my computer, but someone will upload good quality pics soon I am sure.

Edit:. I notice someone has seen fit to upload the document to google drive!

[Apologies, I see that someone has changed the access settings now, and the document should be viewable to everyone].

Indeed - it certainly looks legit. The only thing in the back of my mind is would omega really put a DON bezel on the regular moon watch.

everything else looks superb such as step dial.

just the bracelet doesn’t do it for me from the pics.

sapphire on leather coming my way in 2021 methinks. Let’s hope the Apollo 11 bracelet fits....

Hmm interesting. So the "older" style Hesalite retains the printed logo and is priced about the same as today at 5800, it seems? Wonder if it soldiers on with the 1861 as well. IMO that'd be the way to go with product planning, keep the Speedmaster accessible while expanding the range in an organic way.

Definitely agree that it's nice to have choices!

(Please note: I cannot read reference numbers so if the .001 and .002 just pinpoint the difference between an applied or printed logo, feel free to disregard 🙄)
We are assuming the prices are Swiss Francs, possibly without VAT. This would mean it is substantially more than the current price. I bought a Hesalite in Geneva in 2017 and it was CHF 4'700 (about CHF 4,350 excl Swiss tax). I'm sure there has been a slight increase since then but nowhere near CHF 5'800. Omega isn't going to give a METAS movement without you paying for it.

I must say I like to “older” case shape better. Am I correct that the lugs on the new case are shorter or the curvature is different?

My first thought was that I must get the old before it disappears. Not because it will increase in value bit because I like it better somehow. Hate all the text Omega puts on casebacks. Co-axial Master this and that 🙄

Wow that bracelet looks weird...not a fan of that, but the rest seems cool.

looks like it’s a stainless version of the 50th moonshine gold bracelet.

Still no micro adjust 🙁

The info that I got from one of the sales rep in the Boutique was 6250 and 7000. But time will tell if that is true.
->but could make sense, as adding the 7.7% mwst to 5800 leads to 6250.-.

this would mean that it is a price increase of 20%, which is quite substantial in my opinion.

I actually like the new case design. Reminds me of the 70's speedy midcase which is a great thing.

310.30.42.50.01.001 - painted
310.30.42.50.01.002 - applied

Just to confirm.

Hadn't seen the PDF file before posting this. So it's Hesalite / printed logo / solid caseback versus sapphire / AML / display back, with some strap options.

Still, not bad - I've really enjoyed my 50th quite a bit and think the new steel model with the modern sapphire, plus a display back could be quite nice. I might even be a buyer, depending on the final bracelet design.

Buy it on strap and maybe the 50th bracelet will fit!

Is the sapphire on the 50th the same as the sapphire on the current sapphire sandwich? In other words, is the so-called "milky ring" still present?

So the new Hesalite version is flight qualified. That was freaking a lot of people out. Another crisis averted. Unfortunately they went full politically correct and went with "Flight Qualified by NASA for all Human Space Missions" instead of "Manned". They are full woke.

The debate around the 50th Anniversary Snoopy notwithstanding, how does a roll-out of a new Moonwatch play out? Is there enough stock in the first batch released for everyone who wants one? Is the demand on par with something like the Snoopy, or is it a more relaxed atmosphere all round? With a slow steady adoption rather than a rush?

So it’s got a ridge in the case back. 50th bracelet may fit!
