Hi, I recently received this watch from my uncle as a gift I'm having doubts about the authenticity of the watch, if anyone could help me with this your assistance will be much appreciated. I'm thinking of just going to Rolex but I'm also scared I'll show up with a fake and embarrass myself. Thank you.

I don't think you're going to get definitive answers from two photos. If you don't want to go to a Rolex dealer, go to a pawn shop and have the gold tested.

Has all the appearance of a real Rolex, but with only two pics, who knows for sure. Take it to a Rolex boutique or dealer and see what they say.

Ask your uncle where he got the watch, and if he has any paperwork for the watch. If it's real your unk is very generous to give you this watch.

The weight should be somewhere around (perhaps slightly more than) 200g, assuming all the bracelet links are there—and even if a link is missing (or a couple), it shouldn’t be far off from that. I’m sure some of the “good” fakes nowadays have a way to get close to that, but if it’s way off that’s a decent sign that it’s a gold-plated fugazi.
