Serial number is correct for that reference. Nothing really jumps out as being incorrect.

Serial number: 56020884

Hi thanks for confirming, I've also ran all the pictures through google image search and I haven't found any red flags.

Cheers,
James

What do you consider a reasonable price? Be aware these trade at less than half the price of the full size auto 2531.80 Bond watch so be careful you are comparing apples with apples.

Got it for £980 total. Seen the larger quartz ones (2541.80) go for between £1500 and £2000. Typically the 2561.80 goes for between £1100 and £1500 on eBay.

Around a grand is about right. Is that your landed price? ie do you have it in hand now? If not you might get a nasty surprise since imports like that from Japan are liable for import duty while works out around the VAT rate. It might get through without it being applied, it might not. If that is your landed outlay you did well.

No that's paid price, if I add about 20% VAT to that it works out around £1,180. I did get an offer the other day for one that was up for £1,300 down to £1,230 but it went very quickly. This one was listed today I think and purchased an hour later!

Fair enough. It looks tidy in those pics. I’ve bought from Japan before and been perfectly happy.

I've ran it through a import duty site and it comes out at about £250 for duties so total is about £1,238. Still the cheapest I've found for the condition. Did you have to pay duty when you purchased from Japan?

Yep. But it was still a lot cheaper then than buying here. The stinger was the £30 or whatever it was the courier charged me as an admin fee for collecting the duty. All in mine worked out at something like 22% but it seems to vary with the wind.

Fair enough, the cheapest one in the UK on eBay at the moment is £1,400 without the box. Watch looks in good condition, similar to this one to be honest. Just have to wait and see!

Looks a great find to me - I don't know enough about current market prices - but looks like you have found a nice one with the set - hope you enjoy it.

Thanks very much, they tend to hover around the £1,300 -£2,000 mark in the UK. I saw one the other day for £1,300 but the box was in really poor condition in comparison to this one!

Update: duty cost was £234.76 which was as expected. No other fees apart from that.

Works out to be around 24% of the cost of the watch.
