Hi all,

Just chanced onto this piece cal 26.5 and wanted to know if it is a redial? I'm more inclined towards a redial due to the Swiss made text which is not common for such reference but would love to hear from the experts here. Thanks!

I vote original. In those days, “Swiss Made” was more dependent on the market in which it was sold.

For some references, you could find the same dials with and without the marking.

Thanks OF folks!!

Including a few more pictures of the piece..

The crown looks incorrect to me as well. Are there anything else I should be looking out for?

Also, I do not want to overpay for it. Any advice on the price I should not go beyond for such a condition?

The paint on the numerals looks quite thick. Is it radium lume?

99% original -1% for the too modern crown
(I do not count the glass which is a wearing part)
I love the blue needles!!!

I find it difficult to establish a price, everyone makes their choice according to the attraction they feel.
the change of crown can be an argument in the negotiation.
if you want to possess it, to spend time with it and that it will bring you satisfaction, it is up to you to quantify this relationship.

it is 30.5mm !

I had a feeling it might be very small. I asked because that will have a major impact on value. Frankly, it's hard to find a buyer for a man's 30.5mm watch these days.

as I said in another topic, I no longer buy below 36 mm which is already a small size. 30.5 mm may be suitable for a woman, but hardly for a man. the price then drops a lot.

This is a CK816, 30mm diameter. Like almost all of the pre WWII watches, is is small, this was standard size for men then.
Some of its friends (although the one on the bottom left doesn't belong to the family...) say hello :
