    Hi guys.

Sorry for all the different posts I have been opening jajaja.

Please look at the below pics, the seconds dial has some sort of stain on the tip.

Is that normal on a Speedmaster Racing? I already emailed the store I purchased from but I wanted to have your opinion on this.

Again sorry for asking, is my first ever Omega watch.

    Thank you

Your going to find small things like this at the price point . Even Rolex have small issues.

Stop looking with a loupe. $100-50K is perfection $5K is mass production

Was a thread a few days ago about arm's length away (30cm) is the QA standard for Omega.

If it bugs you ask a boutique to look at it.

Can't really see much myself in your pictures.

Could be from a low electrical discharge from the tip of the hand.;)

Pretty much this. View your watch as it was meant to be seen, with your two eyes. After that, enjoy it.

I'd be more concerned that the hand is no longer red. :whistling:

    Hi guys,

Thank you all for the replies. I took it to the Omega Store is a small dust just seating on the tip of the seconds hand lol!
And yes it can be seem with the naked eye even at 30CM away. It can be seem because the dial is silver and the light reflecting on it shows the little dot right on the tip.

I purchased the watch from GreyMarket ( WatchMaxx.com ) I contacted them and they gave me a shipping label to return it and hopefully get a replacement send back BUT I am afraid of them refusing the exchange since it is just dust.. I told them on my email interaction that I DO NOT authorize them to open the watch and clean it, that I will only accept an exchange or money back. But, I am still debating if I should or not lol! I do love the watch but that tiny dust grrrrrrr jaajajaj..... I also found a lot of posts on forums with people having same issue with Omega, Rolex, or just any watch really.

IDK what to do jajaajaj keep it or send it back for exchange and pray the new one does not have any dust on another hand or part of the dial jaja.

To me it's no big deal, if you look hard enough you can always find some little flaw. In your case it's a piece of dust which can be removed at a later date. I'd keep it. The next one may have another issue that would bother you even more.....a nick, small scuff, whatever. Bird in the hand ....

For me that sounds like no big deal. I have a lot of watches with some minor flaws and that's fine.

Ya I wouldn’t stress that but if it bothers you that much it’s understandable

If the seller was willing to exchange it, maybe they'd be willing to split the cost of having Omega open it up for a cleaning.

That is something I was thinking BUT honestly I will just keep it like that and in a year or 2 when I check the water seals I will just ask them to remove it. I will still ask the seller to at least refund some money of course lol ( not sure if he will agree )

My vintage speedy reduced had a dusty just like that. It eventually fell off and probably landed somewhere on the periphery of the crystal. For a new watch I’d be mildly annoyed but would forget within a day or so. With vintage its a little more lenient (A lume pip on my vintage JLC fell off a few days before service:mad:)

Sorry.........I did that when I was cleaning it, and I did the scratch near the 40 too. I didn't do all the others though.

    :(

Didn't mean to do it and hoped you wouldn't notice.
