Ultimately, what goes around comes around, at some point in the future the world will have changed, whilst Rolex, PP et al, will still be making great watches the demand will just not be there, you will be able to haggle on the retail price, there will be people with long memories who are going to haggle very hard and make AD's crawl for a sale. It may take 3 years or 5 years, it may take 10 years or more, but that Submariner will be sitting in the display case unwanted, yours to buy with a discount.

Now about that Nautilus you have in the case Mr P, care to talk discounts 😁

Thank you very much. My wife and I have decided to let our son have the piece from our collection that we think maybe suitable and quite frankly a better piece IMO. We are delighted to be giving him my 16610LV. I know he will be extatic!!!
The Bucherer store is in London UK

Wait, wait, wait. You already have an LV and that was an option the whole time!?!?

This is one ridiculously lucky young man.

They will all be his and his brothers one day, so they may as well have maximum enjoyment 👍

So believe this...... We were at friends Saturday evening and I get a call from the ass manager at Bucherer announcing that another LV has come in and I am welcome to it, NO strings attached!! Well, I was pretty gobsmacked but swallowed my pride obviously and my wife and I collected the piece today. I hope this came about from our posts on here and Epictetus's evolvement on another forum.
Well that's what I believe so my family thanks you

I asked them to put me on a list for their BB Bronze and was told I'd have to buy something else before they'd do it. I told them to get stuffed as I'm not that desperate and would spend my money elsewhere. I have a very good relationship with two local agencies and they will have my future business.

Unfortunately this is becoming increasingly common for some hard to get watches.

Sorry to hear this as I understand how disappointing this is. It's a fantastic piece so don't give up. You may find one pre owned

😀 Lol, yes, we are. I just hopes he appreciates what we went through and maybe I will tell him. But not yet as I don't want it to tarnish the piece.

I'll stick with my BB58 thanks. My local agency asked me if I wanted one and I accepted, he then said "The next one to come in is yours." You can't ask for a better relationship than that.

I believe that piece is the Kermit, not the Hulk.

I would have done the same, but given the son the Kermit and keep the Hulk. 😜

It's not swallowing your pride when you get what you wanted and were promised, since you didn't cave in to the extortion to buy extra watches.

Thank you. Yes, you're right it is the kermit A 2010 engraved re haut one of the last. A lot of debate over what is best but to me unles it's the anniversary year it doesn't really matter

Thanks but I prefer my BB58. When I tried my friends, it felt very insecure, putting it on. I had to balance it on my wrist until I could get the strap fastened. I'll stick to bracelets. 😉
