Is this Girrard-Perregaux worth the gamble?

I know nothing about this watch other than the Gyromatic was an in-house movement and there were many variations. It has a nice look to it, but needs work. Crown is signed. $150 roll of the dice?

Because there are so many that circulate in the market, I'd wait for a better example.

I think that watch will clean up nicely. Has to be in running condition though.

Get rid of the Fix-O-Flex, get a nice lizard band, some old T-shirts, toothpicks, Q-tips, Polywatch and some elbow grease.

Maybe you wind up with something like this.

Hard to do better in a vintage watch for that kind of money.

It could be a decent buy for the price. Just look really closely at the photos from different angles and hopefully you can figure out which marks are just scratches on the crystal or shadows. It could be that the dial is fairly clean, although I do think there are some spots. The bezel and lugs look sharp.

Cleaned at home and with a vintage strap, it's worth more than the stated price. Great watches. Pull the trigger, I double-dog dare you.
