I have the chance to get this for 2400 but I think it's a redial and I do not want a redial as my first rolex. It's the only picture the seller has of the dial unfortunately.... can anyone tell? The watch comes with box and I believe it to be a 1601
Very hard to reprint linen dials. Might be ok. The fact that seller is unwilling to provide a clear pic is a deal breaker for me. $2400 is not lunch money.
It's extremely blurry and pixelated with compression artifacts, so I wouldn't make a bet on it, but I'm not seeing an obvious issue. It should be a 1601 based on the dial and bezel.
Thanks all, as for the site I'd be buying it states that everything is guranteed authentic before I get charged for it.... is 2400 plus tax a good deal for this? It does have the box inner and outer and a rolex buckle on the strap. I haven't spent this much money on a watch before and I know nothing about Rolex watches!
I’d want to know why a professional dealer can’t provide a better quality photo.
I’d also be wary of Rolex buckles as the vast majority are fake.
The case also looks very polished.
Is the 2400 is £, $, € and how much tax is added. It sounds fairly reasonable but based on the quality of the pictures, lack of bracelet and soft case, there’s a reason it’s cheap.
Bad picture as others have said but the dial looks ok.
Can’t judge the value without knowing the currency. If it’s dollars, it’s low and so if it were me I would want to know a lot more about the watch and the seller.
As noted above, the currency has not been mentioned, but if it is USD, and legit, it's a good price. TT examples are significantly less desirable (and I personally dislike them), but the hit in value is somewhat balanced by the linen dial.
Putting valuation aside, while I love linen dials in monochromatic watches (SS or all gold), they just make a TT watch even uglier, IMO. Personally, I think you dodged a bullet. 😁
