Is this a fake Omega Constellation?

I am considering buying this Omega Constellation I found listed for sale, but I’m not sure if it’s fake. Hoping someone on this forum can help identify if it’s real, and potentially help identity the watch reference.

I only have the 2 photos the seller provided, although I requested a picture of the case back as well. The seller does not know the service history of the watch and doesn’t have any additional details. They said the watch was a gift.

I’ll be sure to post any additional pictures if they provide any.

All help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Eric

Looks genuine but the dial has been poorly refinished.

Do NOT buy this watch.

It's an awful re-dial, I didn't look any further.
My advice is the same.

Wow, thank you both for the quick responses. I was really hoping this was a good purchase since the price is great. But I’ll take your advice and stay away from it…

Out of hunger for knowledge, you've assessed it's a redial based on Omega logo, the t's in constellation and index placement or?

I didn't study anything in detail. The redial was immediately obvious.

And poor quality text, misaligned minute track, pie pan minute track on a dome dial, really messy "brushing" ("scratching" is more like it), and more.

Recommend you follow the "Recommended vintage Omega on Ebay" thread above, where you have benefit of vetted options from one of most experienced mods! Don't waste your time searching on your own without knowledge, you will find one bad watch after another. This is a gift, use it!
Good luck and stick around you will learn a lot.

I just saw the heaviness of "constellation" before I zoomed in. You need to look at a few hundred good and bad ones to train yourself. Otherwise take SOG53s advice.

I know it may be a bit of work, but gather as many images as you can of Connie dials, Both genuine, redialed and uncertain.
Size the images so that you just have the dial/case.
Put them in an image gallery and then flick through them like a set of flash cards.
After a while you will start to see the good from the bad.
