I would say it was a redial.
The obvious tell being the font on the sub dial numbers

Caseback polished badly, its on an 1171 though oddly with no.6 endlinks by the looks, no idea what's going on with the hands, they're either something else or they've been deep fried.

It is a bit cruddy.

It is well loved, but then tweaked and polished or prepared in a way that does not appeal to me.

I would not be going mad for it.

I do like a watch that shows history, but at a price.

It seems to me people are rolling out well used pieces with very high prices that dont really have the charm they might had they been left alone....or much cheaper!

Its early morning here, perhaps I am billious

That's the thing - I could love that watch, but not at anywhere near that price....

That watch looks familiar. Think it's been dissected (and probably dismissed at the offer price) but can't find the link here.

Seems an expensive project, perhaps, for those so inclined.
