It's unusual but I'm sure it's fine. https://universalgenevepolerouter.com/galleries/204602-104602-404601-polerouter-jet/ What's the reference number on the case back? Something like 404601-1?
thanks. Very faint. I thought there was none. Good thing you asked. So i used a jeweler’s loupe and saw the following numbers i think - 204601-1 2028589 I always thought when i bought it that it was a polerouter jet. then when i look at the dial, am surprised to not see the word jet. thanks again.
I looked at the listing. Seller says it has a caliber 215-2. seems the first number of the reference must be for 4 (for gold plated) and not 2 (for stainless steel). Weird. Unless i got it wrong.
I had also expected the reference to start with a 4 for that reason but I'm not completely certain that it is wrong. There's another gold plated 204601 here https://www.catawiki.com/l/8162935-universal-geneve-gold-men-s-watch-1950s-60s I would want to see more examples before reaching a conclusion.
I checked my notes. For some reason, i wrote the reference number as 204602-3. Not sure if i got this info from the seller. Or maybe when i had watch opened (either inside caseback or the movement).
