Hmm. I like both watches a lot. At some point maybe I would own both. If I already have a black face steel watch, which one should I go for first in Blue?

·Amazing I always though the planet ocean chronograph was much heavier, tends to show weight at that level can really be just a perception

Keep in mind that the new 41 mm AT isn’t that much thinner than the new Seamaster Prof. About .5 mm I think? I didn’t even recognize any difference. Yet the AT wears even bigger in my eyes because of the lacking diver bezel.
But let’s be honest. The new SMPc is a big, heavy and thick watch. I was not on the market for that because I already have a Tudor Black Bay. Still I preferred it over the old version and even the white dial AT because I simply fell in love. I am a big fan of that watch and would recommend ist to everyone with wrists big enough to wear it. Mine are 7“ and it’s just about right. The bracelet and the adjustable clasp are very comfortable but I think the rubber is even better. It also gives the watch a smaller profile (and lower weight) so that shirt sleeves should not be a problem.
I think you can’t go wrong between the new AT and the new SMPc... but you can’t go right either! 😀 when seeing pictures of the AT I am still lusting for it.

Again I like the upgraded movement that you can see on the newer watch but honestly I can't imagine there being an issue with the old one. I also think the 2017 version does not attract as much attention which I like as well though I like the lighter blue of the newer one.

·I never forgot when I worked down by Wall Street a guy had a 24k gold Rolex date watch. It was a gift from his rich wife but he wasn't crazy about it. He said it was so bulky and heavy and he wished the watch was a little smaller and that it weighed less.
Recently when I compared the old Seamaster to the new one I was surprised how much heavier the new one was.... and of course it is bulkier as well. It reminded me of my co workers complaint about his Rolex. I like the lighter blue, being able to see the mechanical parts on the back, and the waves on the new Seamaster. But with it being bulky and heavier, it reminded me of my friends complaint about his Rolex.
Owners of the new Seamaster, do you find the watch a bit too heavy to wear all day long?

·After wearing my watch for several days, I can confirm that for me, a man of 6 foot 1, 205 pounds that the watch is a little heavy. The 2017 watch was much more comfortable on the wrist all day it's similar to my Tag Heuer. There is more pressure on your wrist and only after wearing it for several months will I be able to determine if it's a non-issue.

·My SMP is on the rubber strap and I can't say I notice any heft to it at all.
I think the weight is in the bracelet, not the watch case/movement.
Give it a couple of weeks. I'm sure you'll adjust.
