Is the 1957 the best modern omega bracelet ?

I own 1861 and 3861 speedys in steel and gold

I have the 321 Ed white

I have to say I find the 1957 60th speedy the best modern bracelet they make. I actually like the no taper thing personally while I realize many love a taper.

I haven’t tried the buzz butt I have to admit

I do love my platinum Seamaster bracelet but it’s so heavy it’s hard to compare and I haven’t tried the new steel Seamaster 300 as I have the bronze gold on strap.

So am I right ? It just feels fantastic on my wrist

As a side I do really like the mesh ploprof but it’s an outlier. The Milanese on the 007 is ok

The Trilogy bracket is well made but very chunky and heavy and lacks any kind of micro adjustment, as such many prefer the more recent flat link efforts. It does feel like a quality item though. It works best on the Speedy and Seamaster, it feels a little out of balance on the lighter Railmaster. Don’t forget it is for 19mm lugs so is tricky to use on other pieces.

It actually does have a three-position micro adjustment built into the clasp.

You are right, how could I forget that? Must be because I mostly wear my RM on the strap. It must be said though that the range of adjustment isn’t great, the 5 settings on some of the other clasps is better. 3 is barely enough. It’s a nice bracelet alright, just too thick. The adjuster button:

Exactly this. The adjustment was pathetic. In my view the bracelet was too chunky for the speedy or railmaster and whilst it looked good it ruined the vintage aesthetic.

for the OP, the buzz butt bracelet is exactly the same as the 321 bracelet but in 20mm.

I believe those flat links are the best modern omega bracelets.

Standard 1861 bracelet for me. I don’t like the new one and, while I appreciate the history, I don’t like the look of the flat link bracelets.
I made a specific effort to still get the 1861 while it was still around. And the more substantial bracelet on those was one of the big selling points for me. And that was one of the reasons I passed on the 321 also when I got the call (bought a Sea Dweller instead).

I think the trilogy bracelet is perfect on the trilogy Seamaster. On the Speedy however, not so.
