I think this may be my favorite of all of Omegas modern case backs. It really is the best of both worlds, beautiful medallion in the center and you can view the movement. Not my photo by the way. I was just having a random thought about clear case backs and wanted to share. What's everyone else's favorite. New or vintage.

 

I'm not a fan of display backs as I prefer dress watches and I can't picture a display back looking good on a dress watch. My favourite is the observatory on a solid case back!

 

I am a big fan of display backs. While I truly enjoy looking at the back on my PB, I think I have to give the winning vote to the Spectre:

I hear what your saying but I have to disagree. I think the display back on the Tressor is fantastic. Just look at it.

 

I always thought the caseback on the 1st Gen PO's was fantastic.

Being totally honest apart from when I am cleaning a watch I never look at the caseback

 

Maybe not the best, but one of the rarer ones



And a bit of trivia - according to the late Chuck Maddox, this model was unique at the time by having screw-down chrono pushers.....

I agree, this is one of the nicest looking case backs ever produced. This is the case back that should be on the 1975 Apollo/Soyuz watch.

I also like this Apollo 15 case back.
