Is it Normal for ConElPueblo to be absent for so long?

I love when forum members care for each other.
On another non watch forum, one of the beloved mods was missing for a day and people got nervous, knowing that he lived alone. They got neighbors involved who found him in his apartment with a medical condition. That saved his live or something like that.
Not implying something like this is going on with Troels whatsoever.
But it is nice when people care for “virtual” or not so virtual friends.

I just realized we’ve been missing another much-appreciated forum member: @capt-dim . He’s been absent from the Forum since May of this year. I love the high-quality photos from his no-nonsense watch collection. I got the sense that he has a maritime job in the Greek islands…hello @capt-dim , wherever you are.

I finally discovered a post from @Tritium , yesterday, offering a sweet alarm watch for sale. I hadn’t seen a post from him for a long, long time.

Interesting how members drift in and out. Some disappear, Some don’t post but they are still reading. Hobbies, priorities and interests shift over time.

Great points but there are changes and shifts in the forum also.
10 years ago, most every post was watch related and the low volume allowed you to read every post.

We are much more social now and much, much larger!
This doesn't suit everyone but just post an informative thread on the 33.3 Chron and watch the old-timers show up.

There really should be a Pocket watch sub forum. (but then Apple watchs iPhones can be considered pocket watches, so that would open up it's own can of worms.)

I dont like worms in my apples, not even bugs, though I did see a pocket watch recently on the net with a spider in it.

I beg to differ: Apple watch is a wristwatch. The iPhone is the pocket watch!

On the subject of missing posters, I always looked out for @pippy. Haven’t seen posts from him in a while

@JimJupiter we see you!

GTG at Nicolas' House? 😁

Regarding the Sub-Forum Topic. I was asking some years ago for an Enicar sub with no success. a few years later I asked again, but unfortunateley the enicarforums was allready started by another collector. I would have been in favour to have it here, since the audience is much bigger and not just interested in Omega.

We do seem to have lots of interest in them. Especially since I just snagged my first Omega GSTP.

As I understand it, this would require more individual threads with “pocket watch” in the title (maybe for individual brands?), and continued engagement in the existing pocket watch threads. The dedicated pocket watch forum I belong to is pretty much down to posting funny dog stories one per week, pocket watch nerds need a more active home.

I'm in for the funny dog stories...pocket watches? Not so much...
