Hi everybody, I'm new in this forum, and I just bought a Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Big Size (232.30.46.21.01.001) at the Schiphol airport in Amsterdam one month ago, I have all the guarantee cards with the serial number, and the watch has the serial number engraved and the red dot in the case.

I was watching very close the domed crystal and it seems a little flat at the top.
It is just a little flat spot at the center of the crystal, but I dont know if it is just a reflection effect or is built like that, or maybe was a bump.

Has anybody seen something like that in a Seamaster watch?

Thanks in advanced for your help.

    Regards,
    Mauricio

It looks like the distortion is created by the domed sapphire.

I was watching the Panerai Luminor Marina of a friend of mine with the domed crystal and I can't see any shadow at the center.

    Hi everybody,

I hope you're doing fine, finally I took a picture where you can see the flat crystal at the top of my Seamaster.

What do you think about it?

It's not unusual. My GMT Seamaster has the same thing.

What Dennis has indirectly been trying to tell you is that it's nothing to worry about :)

I'm sure as long as it isn't distorting the dial from normal viewing angles, it's fine.
