Is It Necessary To Have A Watch Winder??

I use them (I have 4). I like having my watches ready to go, especially my non-quick date Constellation (cal 561) which is a pain in the arse to set. More wear on the watches? Probably but I hate having to set them if they're not ready.

When I bought my third watch I bought a winder. I've never really used it and have mid twenties now, including a load of non quickest dates.

I use my left wrist, and let them run down otherwise.

Hello guys,

Cheers for all your comments amazing response, think I'm going to put the money to another watch. The watches I have are very easy to set and I don't want to put unnecessary wear on them, shame as it would of looked lovely next to my bed lol.

No winder required here, far to many volunteers in the household wanting to wear my pieces 🙁
Apart from the reasons mentioned by @Stewart H I see no reason for a winder, others may disagree.

I know where you are coming from my little girl is only 7 and she loves watches With a passion, has her own watch Display case full of princess's watches, she want a omega for her 18th lol

I've often considered getting a winder, but when I price them out I always decide to put that money towards another watch instead. They're very expensive for what they are and just don't seem worth it to me.

I purchased one for my 2254 and noticed my watch keeps better time on my wrist than on my winder.
