I understand that being a chronograph they put it in the Speedmaster family, however I can't help but feel that given the haute horology elements this could have been placed within the De Ville line, alongside the Tourbillon. Regardless, exquisite pieces!

Thanks for the write-up @Robert-Jan

Since you’ve seen it in the metal – how loud is it? The chimes sounded great in Omega’s promo video but of course that’s not the same as hearing the actual watch chiming when it’s on your wrist…

Kinda like a concept car. Looked at it for 10 seconds. Admired the idea. Now moving on.

I quite like the Chronochime but I have a soft spot for early gold chronograph’s. The Speedmaster form, not so much.

I may get one when I have a spare AUD$760,556.56 to splash on a new watch.

🙄

Just think: depending on where you live, VAT will be like tossing between a Canopus Gold 3861, and a Canopus Gold 321 into the trash 😁

It's not the most beautiful watch, but damn...it is a technological marvel! The attention-to-detail & the finishings are top notch! If Omega can do these one off watches...imagine what they will bring to the watch lines where the majority can afford it! Bravo Omega...!

All that technology and still with the useless Tachymeter scale.

Neither is very wearable but kind of nice to look at, which I assume is the intention for such pieces.

"Honey, I'm selling the house!"
"Wait, WHAT? WHY!?"
"So I can buy a watch!"
"..........."
"Honey?"
"................................................"
"Ok, ok....I'm NOT selling the house....Back to the bargain thread"

Definitely a great daily wear go anywhere do anything piece with a huge target audience: Forgetful musicians who play the triangle and are multi-millionaires 🤪

I wonder if they will make a moonswatch version? That would be pretty cool.

Hah that'll be the day. Swatch partnering with one of the sub-brands like Blancpain and releasing a beeping quartz powered "minute repeater" - or chono repeater in this case 😁

I have never fallen so hard for a watch. Seriously.
It's glorious. I love the finishing on the subdials.

If I had to invent a complaint, it would be that the caseback looks more like something I'd expect from De Bethune and from Omega I'd expect something similar to the caliber 321 but dialed up to 11. Like maybe if they took the "skeletonized" look of the caliber 321 but continued that subdial finishing motif at some layer of the movement. But as is, it's still the watch I've fallen hardest for. I love the Blue side of the Moon so seeing that dial here in this presentation sealed the deal.

"Hi, I'm MohiMedia, and I like watches."

"Hi, MohiMedia!"

Totally get it. Love your energy. Just glad I haven't got that feeling for a 450k watch 😁
