Intrigued about my inherited Seamaster - any help please

Hi I am a newbie with a standard request for help identifying information on a Seamaster watch.

I have just inherited this from my Father (who hadn't worn it for 50 years)

A watch shop obtained the following details for me:
S/N 17452690 Cal 562 Case 14701 Approx 1960 routine value.

As can be seen from the photos it is an Omega Seamaster Automatic, with Date, branded Turler,

I am intrigued if the watch is standard and correct? (the damage on the back is annoying)
I dont suppose it is the original strap? Every hole has some indication of use.
Are the dots Tritium? The 'swiss made' has no other marks except a dot in the middle.
The two marks on the face to the left of 'Seamaster' and the extra 'minutes' mark at 37.5 are annoying
Does Turler or any other feature make this watch different?
Is the year about right?

Thurler are a well renowned watch retailer in Zurich, Switzerland who sold that watch - did your dad by it brand new from them, or get it 2nd or 3rd hand?

It looks great, and it could be the angle the photo was taken at, but some of the lume pips dont seem to line up with the markers very well - can you please post more photos of the dial face?

If you want to wear it often , just buy a nice new leather strap and get The watch serviced by a local independent Watchmaker in your area ( if you give some general details about what country you are in, members here will recommend a specialist watchmaker )

It is a better than average example in nice, crisp original condition with sharp edges and no over polishing. I would be very happy to inherit this watch - your concerns are really very minor. A careful wipe over with a silver cloth and a crystal polish with Polywatch will have it looking its best.

The scratch on the back from a careless back removal is not the end of the earth. It is not as bad as many I have seen, and could be minimised by a watchmaker if it really bothers you.

The Turler naming is a plus for me. I have several - it is almost certainly a sign that the watch has not been redialled.

The leather band is of no consequence whatever - chuck it out. You can find a new Omega band online -just make sure you buy the right width (this watch is probably 18mm).

Enjoy - it is a nice vintage watch.

I agree with everyone and it's a fantastic watch. Turler on the dial definitely adds to the prestige 👍

Based on the year of the serial, it likely has Raduim rather than tritium lume. Or did originally at least.
